1. Definitions
- “Royal Wheels” or “we/us/our” refers to the legal entity providing transportation services.
- “Client” or “you” refers to the individual or authorized representative booking or receiving transportation services.
- “Service” refers to the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and wheelchair-accessible transport offered by Royal Wheels.
2. Eligibility
To book a ride or use our website, you must be:
- At least 18 years old, or
- An authorized caregiver or guardian acting on behalf of a minor or dependent adult.
3. Booking & Scheduling
- Clients are encouraged to schedule appointments as early as possible—preferably 2 to 3 months in advance.
- Same-day bookings may be accepted depending on availability but are not guaranteed.
- Accurate trip details must be provided at booking, including:
- Full passenger name and date of birth
- Pickup and destination addresses
- Appointment time and nature of the visit
- Contact information
- It is your responsibility to notify Royal Wheels of any changes or cancellations in a timely manner.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees.
- A No-Show Fee may apply if the driver arrives and the passenger is not available or refuses transport.
- Repeated no-shows may result in suspension of service privileges.
5. Service Limitations
- Our services are non-emergency transportation only. If you require immediate medical attention, call 911.
- We do not provide personal medical care.
- Drivers are not permitted to lift or carry passengers or provide medical assistance unless otherwise agreed in advance.
6. Passenger Safety & Behavior
- All passengers must remain seated with a seatbelt or secured in a wheelchair restraint system during the entire ride.
- Verbal abuse, physical aggression, or disrespect toward drivers or staff will not be tolerated and may lead to termination of service.
- Homes or facilities that are not wheelchair accessible must disclose this at booking to allow proper planning.
7. Pricing & Payments
- Prices will be quoted at the time of booking and are subject to change based on distance, waiting time, tolls, or special accommodations.
- Payment must be made before or at the time of service unless invoicing terms are pre-approved.
- We accept major credit/debit cards and may use third-party payment processors to handle transactions securely.
8. Delays & Liability
- Royal Wheels strives for on-time pickups and drop-offs but does not guarantee specific arrival times due to traffic, weather, and unforeseen events.
- We are not liable for missed appointments, late arrivals, or associated costs unless due to gross negligence.
- Clients are encouraged to schedule buffer time when booking rides.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
- All personal data collected is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with applicable laws including HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.
- By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described therein.
10. Insurance & Medical Responsibility
- Royal Wheels maintains proper vehicle and commercial liability insurance.
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings during transport.
- We do not assume liability for the health status of any passenger beyond providing safe transportation.
11. Website Use
- The Royal Wheels website and all its content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or misuse any material without permission.
- You agree not to use our site for unlawful or abusive purposes.
12. Amendments to Terms
Royal Wheels reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Revised terms will be posted on our website and apply immediately upon publication. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
